What grinder?

I think all the sub £50 grinders are disposable, the days of the cheap grinders lasting years are over.

I've not done too badly with the titan...seems to have lasted best out of the budget range...my DeWalt cordless has outlived almost all of them but that wasn't exactly cheap...the titan vibrates a bit more than a high end one, but with gloves on it's hardly an issue

I think as with everything there are levels…

I wouldn’t trust the Aldi one I have to last, but the Bosch/Makita and Hitachi ones all feel a notch above in quality - I suppose for £35 ish they are not expensive but almost double the Aldi price at £20!

At my last place our fitter had a Bosch one that simply refused to die despite being giving merciless abuse.

A while back I bought three Bosch gws850 grinders, mainly because they are slim and can easily be used in one hand, they all failed in short order. I think these were north of £70 each, all made in China.

Replaced them with these which seem to be doing a bit better.

Shame they don't/can't make them in the same shape as the 18V grinders. They're lovely to hold.

they [ bottom ones ] are really nice to work with , nbut they are the ones I find run rough , and eat armatures ,,, and the switches stop latching as the plastic wears out ,,, but especially on thin cutting discs with a light load they are sweet to use.
