Lidl and keep the receipt for the three years of the warranty! What's the best 240V corded grinders? Both 4.5" and 9"? I use Milwaukee for all the cordless stuff but don't just know who to trust for corded. The only feature I really want is switches that stop on themselves.
Two of my Hitachi tools have a sort of sliding paddle switch. They lock on if pushed up a bit more and trip out at the lightest of touches when pressed again lower down .Metabo are usually considered the top tier of corded grinders. Makita and Hikoki (Hitachi) are also very good.
Go for a paddle switch if you want one that switches off when you release it, The metabos also have other safety features as well.
I bought a Parkside PWS 125 F6 specifically to use cheap parkside 125mm 1mm cutting discs as all my grinders are 115mm and have had 2 replacements under warranty. The 2nd replacement has just failed out of warranty, all 3 had done very little work, between them they haven't managed to do anywhere near £24.99 of work, maybe £3.71 or so. I'm going to complain and try to get a refund under the CRA 2014, I at least want a partial refund or replacement with a different model as these are clearly not fit for purpose.Lidl and keep the receipt for the three years of the warranty!
