Metabo are usually considered the top tier of corded grinders. Makita and Hikoki (Hitachi) are also very good.
Go for a paddle switch if you want one that switches off when you release it, The metabos also have other safety features as well.

Two of my Hitachi tools have a sort of sliding paddle switch. They lock on if pushed up a bit more and trip out at the lightest of touches when pressed again lower down .
I find that feature brilliant for rotating the grinders in a light grip when grinding or cutting stuff.

I have an older metabo 115 that I really like. It feels really nice in the hand and has good power, tried finding another and struggled. Used a newer fairly cheap metabo, can’t stand it gutless thing. Newish dewalt one at work is ok but a bit heavy and big in the hand we have a couple of bosh ones that are ok. Try and find a bricks an morta shop to put something in your hand
if you include 9 as well as 4 1/2 grinders I have about 40 of them at the moment ,,, they all have strengths and weaknesses ,,, but to cut it short , Makita gets my vote , Fein are not worth the premium , and neither are the new Hilti , Metabo are sweet , the new DeWalts are powerful but big in the hand ,, the ols slim Bosch are great to use but dont last , Ive a couple of old 1100w DeWalt that refuse to die and arent too bad for size and weight. so there you go , no clear winner.

I bought a Parkside PWS 125 F6 specifically to use cheap parkside 125mm 1mm cutting discs as all my grinders are 115mm and have had 2 replacements under warranty. The 2nd replacement has just failed out of warranty, all 3 had done very little work, between them they haven't managed to do anywhere near £24.99 of work, maybe £3.71 or so. I'm going to complain and try to get a refund under the CRA 2014, I at least want a partial refund or replacement with a different model as these are clearly not fit for purpose.
The first was the field windings, wires seperated and glued with epoxy get it runnign again and put to one side as a spare.
The second was the soft start/speed control board, I bypassed the board and used it until the rotor windings broke after about another 30 minutes of work.
The third was also the soft start/speed control board which is why I started using number 2 again.
The 9" grinder I bought hasn't had any issues and has done about 10 times more work than the 3 125mm grinders put together.
I have a few different makes of grinder.
I've a couple of slim bodied bosch that I use if I have to use them one handed. Good for slitting discs.
For heavy extended grinding it's always one of the metabos. The motors have electronic governers so no matter how hard you lean on it the motor doesn't slow down.
The anti vibration is very good so your hands don't go numb after using it for a long time.
Also have a brushless cordless fakita and parkside that are handy for small jobs.
Forget about the parkside ones. The old ones were good but the new ones are rubbish.
