Hello strangers (especially Jaeger ). Not been here for years but started looking in again as I'm hoping to get a compressor shortly. So, here goes:
The one I'm looking at is, I think, an Airmate 15/55 with a 3HP motor and a 50l tank but I'm not sure if the seller has anything else they are bundling in with the deal. The question is what should I buy to go with it. I want to be able to clean stuff, inflate tyres, paint and I intend to add tools beyond that at a later date. Obviously a blow gun and tyre inflater are required but is it worth buying one of these packages or do they all tend to be cheap tat. (I could always nick a pro quality PCL tyre inflater from the local garage like some has done round here Maybe they misinterpreted the "Free Air" sign.) Also, from reading on here and elsewhere, I will need some hose and it looks like I should be going for 10mm to minimise any pressure losses over the length. Is there any basis how to links (couldn't find one on here) on how to actually set up and connect everything up?
One thing to bear in mind, the arrangement for the moment is temporary, so I won't be installing any fixed pipework. That will come at a later date.
So, over to you guys. Good makes, bad makes, ebay bargains, whatever.
