I'm looking to buy my welder withing the next 4-6 weeks, I think I have my heart set on the Clarke 130 as this is both gas and no gas, and is 30amp min which should be good for the car body work I need it for.
I know this comes with 0.7kg wires both gan and gasless and a hand help face shield.
I have about £300 to play with so I can't go wild but I'm thinking an auto facesheild would help me as I'm a total novice and some decent welding gloves.
What else will I requre? I know the wire won't last long and I'll need both more wire and gass but that I'm thinking of as consumerabls so they ill be bought as and when needed.
What would be good to get, good clamps? auto face mask, decent gloves? get the Clarke 160 instead?
Ideally I want to get all I need in first layout and want it to be somewhat future proof, I don't want to be buying a new welder withing the next 3-4 years.
It's mostly for car body work but I'm sure I'll have a play at making things like a wood burner or BBQ or something.
Thanks
Liam
