It is all cancelled now, she wouldnt have gone witout me, nor would I her, we are both funny like that, I know a lot of people are different, her brother and his partner go to their own parents on christmas day whereas we would never dream of being apart at christmas even before kids.
We are looking at going may-june time as I will be ok by then but she is waiting to have her gall bladder removed so we are hoping that will come after the holiday as she wont be able to travel for 6 weeks afteer that op.
We have to ask for permission to take the kids out of school so we can have the needed holiday, if we can get it sorted it would be 2 weeks with one of the weeks being half term, it is only the lad and he is only in reception year, tiddler is at playschool still, I hope they dont say not as I dont want to upset them by going anyway, the head is nice enough, I am sure he will see and agree with my point of view ! ! ! !

Speak to the school asap and explain the circumstances, I'm sure they will allow a week if there is plenty of notice. Is the eye problem a result of ongoing treatment for your heart condition?

both me and the other half are the same very rare we arnt together
unless she goes out with one of the daughters
just keep all the hospital letters to show the head it pays to keep the paper trail for proof

Cheers guys, the head is a nice guy, I think he will be fine, no the eye problem wassnt related, just wear and tear, be VERY short sighted then it is more common to happen is what they told me, it wasnt until the consultant looked in th egood eye that they realised I had had a detached retina in the good eye before, I had no idea, they said it can happen without you knowing and it has healed itself, it has caused the eye to have a "flat" side at the top, so has changed my eye sight a bit, I knew nothing about it all, I remember some flashing light in that eye for a week or so and thats it.. Scarey really.
