either open a case with E bay, or Contact Paypal., there are several choices and you can even talk to a human being. Talk with a virtual agent on line in real time, or Just try and put the lot into words and E mail them.

Dont refund any money, Dont send any more money, dont return the phone.

he has calmed down a bit now

to start off with he wanted my bank details to put the money direct into my account

i will ring up now and cancel payment

if i go through ebay can i get a partial refund or woulld i have to send the phone back as apart from the screen i am happy with it

Is it not worth cutting ,running away and getting out, then look for another phone??

Was the phone definatly not cracked before you bought it, could be any picture uploaded for the sales pitch. how good was the packaging, etc etc.

have just contacted paypal and they advised me to contact him and tell him to cancel the payment

we will then be back to the start

i will then tell him to send me a partial refund which will hopefully clear but if it doesnt and he tries to take it back i will go through ebay but i cant see that i have anything to lose by letting him give me a partial refund without ebay first

his story does sort of add up so he could be genuine but i aint taking no chances

ps the paypal woman said that once the payment had cleared there was absolutely no way whatsoever his bank etc could take the money back????????????

If he has sent a full refund, do not send any more funds till this payment clears. when it has cleared ask the seller for an invoice of what you owe him, and pay it through paypal just like normal. ( £70) ???

dont just send £70 insist on an official "request money invoice" through payapl/E bay.

dont send money in response to an E mail request or a PM off him to your E bay account. insist on an invoice.

me personally- I`m still suspicious. and be tempted to run, plent more phones-without cracked screens, if you send it make sure its a signed for delivery. if possible with tracking.Worth looking at using a courier, maybe through Parcel2go. More money but piece of mind it got there.

atm he has sent a full refund which i was going to wait until it cleared then send him £70 back but after speaking to paypal i have decided to contact him and ask him to cancel payment and send the correct amount through

this way i never pay him nothing so the worse that can happen is i get no refund

Not the best advice given by Paypal saying your money is safe after it has cleared, the following is an actual complaint off their own site

Until about a month later i had a notification saying the buyer had issued a chargback, and the payment had been reversed
