I just had some work done on our 2000 Mazda B2500 4x4 truck... whole new front end suspension ...ie ball joints ,track rod ends ,top yoke and wheel bearings etc plus four shockers and a pre "Mot "test including the magic phone call very important on Crete,,, 840 Euros or 690 quid how does that compare with the UK..jeff..

for a "mates rates", its a little expensive, depending on price of shockers.
for a dealer price, ridiculously cheap (4 shocks alone would have been 600+ fitting)
back street/independent - for that would be cheapish - I'd expect a 700-800 quid bill - split roughly 50/50 parts/labour

Sounds ok, I would reckon that parts would be a bit more expensive on Crete .

Why would you need all that done ?, with all the super smooth roads in Crete
sounds ok to me lot of parts costs gone into that. Is it a crete car or uk?.

Yes I was quite pleased with that price 150 euros was the labour and the parts were sent from Athens. The guy who did the work is a local and he will only fit Japanese parts ,he rekons the cheaper parts that you can buy localy just don't last.... It's the first bit of work apart from brake pads and servicing etc we have had done on the truck, we bought it 8 years ago and it's worked hard for those years ,and yep the roads here are hard on a vehicle , tomorow I'm gonna take it for the K.T.E.O. test its a bit like an MOT but every two years ..... jeff....

very good price. My mate had front shocks, pads and discs and tracking and hubs done for 890 on a ford ranger which is pretty much identical to your mazda

What you actually found a greek mechanic that works on cars!!, now they are few and far between !!!

Yes this guy has been a real find , he has a well equipt little worshop , has lots of the common parts in stock (we are miles from any shops ) and he is well into 4x4s ... Him and his son brought my truck back last night and stayed for a quick drink ... of Raki the local hooch .. The truck drives so smoothly now ..... test in the morning but it's fine cos he rang them up and told them he had checked it all......jeff...
