what do we all listen to

stood at my machining cell in work with the radio on full and started wondering, what do we all listen to in the shed/workshop/garden when we are working on a project.

i listen mostly to the likes of queen, ac/dc, Aerosmith and so on (which my neighbour hates, he like dubstep) but occasionally will branch out to heavier stuff like slipknot, system of a down and avenged sevenfold, other American bands like greenday and so on.

what does everyone else listen to?

Planet Rock on the radio - so, most of the bands you mentioned plus other great stuff.

cant get planet rock in work, have to settle for nation which is similar but they spend alot of time talking about rugby

Another vote for Planetrock. I've got a DAB alarm clock so I wake up to it, I've got a DAB radio in the car so I drive to work to it. No radio in the office unfortunately. I recently bought a cheap DAB radio for the garage so it's almost always on Planetrock.

Although Team Rock is the next choice if Planetrock are having a wierd prog-ey session (not Sunday afternoons though because Team Rock goes all country then which is just odd and not my cup of tea).

Agree, Planet Rock do go a bit 'off the rails' sometimes - on those occasions I normally turn to Spotify. Anyone listened to the Winery Dogs, Black Country Communion....?

Radio 6 music - I can't stand any radio station with adverts and this station has a good selection of stuff I know I like and stuff I didn't know I liked. If there's stuff I dont like I stick a CD on or use my DLNA server and listen to led Zep, Neil Young amongst a load of other stuff, old blues, a bit of ska etc.

Pretty much the same here. To quote the song: "Silence is golden". When I do listen to music, which is rare these days, the likes of Cher, AC/DC, Meatloaf, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath and owt else which takes my fancy, usually pre 80's stuff.

I am slightly ashamed to say that what ever music I am listening too (usually 6 Music) it goes off at 2pm so I can listen to the Archers!
Also the Now Show, The News Quiz, The Infinite Monkey Cage and the classic I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue have me in stitches when the music gets too much.
Radio 4 extra has good comedies on at various times, Cabin Pressure is a favourite.

Chillout/Trance/Dance are my general genres. But I'll listen to most mainstream pop/rock also on the Radio, just ads annoy the proverbial out of me...

Another Planet Rocker here when in my own workshop. BBC Radio Solent in the car. I try not to listen to the crappy local stations they have on, when Im working out at clients' workplaces.
