Stuffed lambs hearts with Fray Bentos steak puddings on standby in case I didn’t like them. I was brave and did one heart, not to my taste much like liver & kidney. :(

60 quid on an Indian here. Very tasty it was too and best of all we didn't have to deal with the public.

I made made Port en Croute*, accompanied by haricot beans in a tomato sauce ;), oh and some heart shaped shortbread dipped in chocolate.
    Went down very well.
Then sat and watched a DVD.

    *Sausage roll.

When I say made I did actually make the pastry myself and the shortbread  Maybe I need to start a baking thread ... or is that not manly enough:laughing:

Should have taken her to a Lidl car park, and then you could have suggested that she pops into the store to buy you something after the 'trauma' of the sudden stop ……………………………….

I always make a pig of myself with takeout.
Half goes in the oven and I eat over the course of the evening

  12. £30 / £60 on takeaway? I go weak kneed if the bill is £12! Since moving though I haven't had one at all.

we use a place in kempston just outside Bedford and the food has never been, cold, late or inedible. We do eat in but with a few drinks the price jumps rapidly

it’s about £8 a dish for main so not cheap but there is another in the next village and no matter what you order it’s the same colour brown poo just with chilli powder

I believe, never having tried them, that M & S Meals for two represent excellent value for £15 - I notice that Morrisons were doing similar deals.

We had the Morrisons one last night.
It was enough for 3 but I couldn't get Alice Robert's to come over...

We were on holiday up Aberdeen way a couple of years ago and went to the local chinese takeaway on our first night there, ordered the same as we often get locally, local one is about £27-30, Aberdeen one was £40, thought this was a bit steep but never mind, when it arrived almost needed a van to get it back to the house, we were still eating it the next night.

I'd be sick, couldn't eat that much and my wallet would be terminally ill just on takeaway :D
