What did you get for Christmas

I think for a 562 to run a 28inch would require a skip tooth chain and be soft wood only.
Lovely saw and perfectly capable of dealing with thoose logs but quicker to run an 18in bar and do 2 cuts than do 1 with a bigger bar.
Would always rather do it that way. Big bars are a pain. And wobbly and not very accurate.

Noted. It came with a 20" bar so was always going to have a shorter one anyway and if I fancied milling some logs then and probably only then was I going to look at a bigger bar.

If you have a 20 then a 16 would compliment it nicely.
The shorter the bar the faster they run and cut.
A chainsaw will fell a tree 2.5x the length of the bar but it takes more practice.
2x the length of the bar is not to bad so realistically you have a lot of potential from your 20in bar

Some new mess about in the garage rigger boots , went for these Jallatte ones as heard good things and seen them alot at work , apparently old cheapo screw fix ones that where held together with tape was a bad look lol

First thoughts is really comfy so far a soft memory foam sole and nice lining , worth paying the extra for I hope these where about £60 on eBay compared to maybe £30 for the Screwfix cheap ones

Also got some socks , Zeus book and some others which I will get some pics of later

My son and family arrived for a few days holiday, late Christmas presents exchanged, The wife and I have done well.

Fly west towards the Kyles of Bute and Loch Fyne - over the Kintyre peninsula towards The Sound of Jura with the Islands of Jura, Islay and Gigha often in view, possibly Northern Ireland - heading East take in the Isle of Bute panorama.

Really looking forward to it.
