What could I expect

what could I expect to pay to have this painted I’ve got all the paint and it’s fully prepped just getting a bit cold for me to do at home now

how long is a piece of string terretory, depends on the quality of paint finish you want, depends on where in the country you are, what paint you ask them to use etc. I have had 5 quotes to paint a land rover defender rear door, from £70 thruough to £250..... I decided on the £20 of paint from my local paint shop

You will have to ask around locally as it's going to vary madly.
£150-£200 for somebody to chuck it in a booth and spray your paint onto it then give it back?
£1k+ if the prep needs a bit more work, mask it all up, primer and flatten, paint, top coat, bake, polish and so on

Our place is in somerset, not exactly main dealer but not quite back street garage either!
Painter charges about £100 per panel for cars (door, bonnet/etc)
That includes his gun wash, breathing filters and so on. He would expect the panels ready to paint so mask up, dust coat, rub over to check, prime, flat, paint and polish.
His day job is prepping cars for the bright lights of showrooms so you might not need that standard but it's his name on the job so I dont expect he would do rough and ready!
Booth is £100 for the first hour then £35p/h after that.
I always let the painter supply the paint as its stuff he knows and if he gets any problems with it he doesn't charge me for any reworking needed. It's about £200 per litre plus thinners and so on.
I dont really know how much the masking consumables etc are but I would allow £20-30 for a average car?

I would guess a jet ski is maybe 3 panels worth at most? Couple of hours in the booth?

Guess the quote I got for 350 wasn’t that bad then but more than I could afford my limit was 250 so I bought another infrared heater for the garage and doing it myself got to get my moneys worth out my devilbiss spray gun that’s it primed and ready for base and clear tomorrow

Too late now but for future reference ask around if there are any Eastern Europeans doing painting locally. There's a crew doing car body repair in the village beside me. Their setup is 2 farm sheds, one for welding & prep, the other for painting with a space heater for heat! So no fancy spray booths or ovens but they did a repair job on my Dad's car & it was perfect & cost less than £100! They have a reputation for good quality work but they can't be making much profit at their prices!

i would have said 300+, for a start. ages since i did anything, 20+ years ago it was £50 a panel , and just over £3k for a respray on a vehicle that wasnt too ruff
