What car will donate a seat lift ?

I intend building an off road mobility buggy. The seat height is going to be lower than normal mobility buggies to assist with stability (I've already rolled over a normal mobility buggy when attempting to explore off road areas). A boat seat swivel sorts out part of the getting in and out but now I need to devise some sort of seat raiser. Our Skoda Fabia has such a seat raiser but doubt I'd find many in scrap yards yet. It's got me thinking however that there must be loads of cars with height adjustable seats so wonder if anyone can recommend one that is easy to adapt yet is still lightweight ? I need just the mechanism as I already have a suitable lightweight / waterproof seat.

My mondeo has electric seat height adjustment with a decent amount of travel, no idea if any good for your plans but a very common car so should be some in the breakers yards.

You beat me to it. I woas going to say Mondeo as well.
Loads at the breakers. I can measure the hieght range if it helps.

VW transporter van. Driver's seat has a hand-ratchet on the right you just pump yourself up and down with very little effort. Quite a heavy duty effort but might be worth taking a look at least.

most modern VW's have a similar seat. 7.5 ton daf seats go up and down on a spring and they have quite a lot of movement the only trouble is you'd have to take the weight off it to get it to raise, bit like an office chair

Early 4L jeep Cherokee(square ones) also have the rise and fall seat adjustment. There should be a few of them in the scrap yard.
