Worth bearing in mind you might not be able to claim if it turns out it was the offspring's main car but it was insured under your name with them as a named driver. Happened to a friend of a friend - turned out the Subaru Impreza that hit the tree was actually the son's car.
You'd only find out in the event of a crash, but it could have been worse for my extended friend had there been another car or injury involved.
Must be common, but it's a heck of a risk. I've no idea how they prove it. Probably it's up to yourself to prove otherwise.
