What bugs are going around at the moment?

As above. I went down with what I thought was a cold ten days ago, but it's knocked the stuffing out of me and is showing no signs of improving. Absolutely no energy, pounding head, coughing up garbage constantly and nose streaming. Nose may have improved a bit but otherwise still absolutely dead on my feet. Going to call the doc in the morning but just wondered if anyone else has had it or know anyone who has and how long it might be before it departs

Had something like that over christmas, I ended in Hospital.
But it took 3 weeks to feel normal, after I got home.

Maybe covid. I had similar symptoms about 4 weeks ago, luckily I've never really suffered with headaches but this was awful, I think it may have been covid as I was left with a distorded sense of smell and taste, mostly and acid type smell, which makes me think it could have been covid.

Covid!

I went down with it 12 days ago and the wif eduly followed 5 days later (confirmed by testing) a couple of days into a holiday touring round Ireland. Annoyinglty I know exactly where it came from too. I had an appointment at the dermatology clinic at the GWH on the Thursday 2 weeks ago and there was a woman in the waiting room coughing and spluttering like a good'un. Surprisingly, the hospital staff seemed unconcerned

I still can't shift the cough either.

Sense of taste and smell seem normal, except I'm smelling through a bunged up nose so not brilliant. I had three covid jabs, and flu jab and I had covid but very mildly. This is altogether different, to still be feeling this bad after actually eleven days is really not normal for me, and it's depressing as hell.

I had similar this time last year. I thought I'd test myself and see if I still did have hay fever and asthma every summer, so I didn't start my various daily tabs and spray procedure ahead of the hay fever season.

I've followed that medicine regime every summer that I've lived in the U.K. for the last 20 years, and not suffered red rimmed eyes, mega sneezes, or awful wheezes for many years. Last year I was totally wrecked for about a month, until I guess my medications caught up with it all.

This year I started in May, no bad effects to date.

I have pet allergies too, I used to take loratadine all year round for visiting people with pets, now I avoid pet owners and only take them through the hay fever season and find they are more effective.

I've never suffered from either asthma or hay fever luckily so I doubt it's that. I thought it might be flu, but I'd expect a fever from hades and painful creaking bones if it was, and those are absent...so far!

I had a cold like that about 4 weeks ago, Im just about over it now, but Ive still got a bad cough, but Ive had a ticklish cough for 20 years, but after I have a cold I can barely string a sentence together without coughing, so Im still suffering with that

Step daughter in Norfolk has Rona.

Quite ill by all accounts. Didn’t get the Bill Gates chip like she was told.

So there’s obviously a resurgence or another strain going about.

Strangely, daughter had a chesty cough for a couple of weeks and wife said she felt a bit tight chested for a bit, but both said otherwise they felt fine and basically ignored it. Whereas it's hit me like a ton of bricks

Plenty of rest and keep the fluids topped up . Take paracetamol to keep the banging headaches at bay. That's what I did. And try get the crap out of your chest and back of the nose/throat. It's the worse I have ever felt for a long time. Although I feel OK I still have the lack of energy and the feeling very lethargic still remains

My last dose of Covid hit me like that, 3 months ago and I'm still short of breath and lacking energy. I thought it was a bad cold but then did a test and was positive for Covid, my wife didn't catch it this time though.

I've got this amazing tickly cough, I've had for a while, super irritating, once you start, you keep coughing, till you drink some water, I prefer an alcoholic throat lubricant, preferential.

My smell and memory are mangled since Rona in 2020.

I'm squarely putting the blame there, not my amateur alcoholic lifestyle choices.
