I like bikes with character too. My XR600 was fun, my Suzuki M50/VZ800 is a hoot. What I really want is the Dnepr outfit for sale locally, so I can take the kids or a dog for a ride. At the tender age of 45, speed is no longer a passion of mine.

Just my opinion, I quite enjoyed riding in them but hated riding a bike with one attached.

Glad you got sorted. Odd isn't it how you can suddenly get a bad feeling about a bike. I've had the same thing where I just didn't want to ride because there was suddenly something wrong and I couldn't put my finger on it. Good luck with the Africa!
