Just as the title say's Gent's ????
Is it worth the money and judging on the spec, would you say it should perform ok? Would only be used for light hobby / tinkering. Any help appreciated.
cheers.
Esab-o-like...ish mask, probably ok for the money as Shenion says.
I've been both lucky and unlucky with ebay masks, my cheapy one was spot on but the Parweld one I bought was DOA.
You pays yer money, you takes yer chances.
If you get one, let us know how it performs.
It's better to go that extra mile mate and get a mask that has been proven because your eyes are an important part of the body and without them you wont be able to weld.
Ask steve (weldequip) he will help you out.
Well the helmet arrived and I got a chance to use it over the weekend for about 3 hours each day. The fit was very good and suprisingly light. I set up the controls with the instuctions then adjusted them a little way either way to what suited the ambient light best for me.
I had no problems with arc eye or any soreness at all either day and although it's not been made from the finest materials and does clearly state not to be used for overhead welding, for what I would use it for I really am very pleased, and at that price who wouldn't be.
