I am not a very experienced welder and I usually weld around the farm and garage using my Hobart 140 MIG and I do flux core as well.
But my friend/neighbor is interested in getting a multi functional welder that he can use and he offered that I take part in the price and that we can then both use it. He will keep it in his garage because it is safer there and there is no moisture unlike in my garage where there is little.. I have to fix the roof leak..
Anyway. If I pay 30% of the price then I will be able to use it whenever I want that is what he offers. Given that he is a great friend and an even better neighbor I think that this is a good idea because I am interested to learn or at least try TIG and sometimes I have a need for stick welding as well.
He wants us to purchase something that is high quality and with a long warranty and since we are both paying it will be easier for both of us.
We were looking on the internet for the Miller welders because he trusts them a lot and has experience with their welders with his work.
But he hasn't worked with their multi process line ever so we wanted to ask here on the forum and see what do you guys think about the Multimatic 220?

From what I gather on the internet their welders are really good and trusted but on the other hand, they are very expensive. And even if we are splitting the price it is still quite a lot if it turns out that their multi process line is not as good as their other welders. So that is why we just wanted to ask..
Thanks everyone in advance!
