The jet is easy usually compared with the NRV. I have a 1927 stove amongst others; did you know about the letter date code stamped into the tank? Valve was really stuck. Normally I would leave well alone but fuel was leaking back past it. In the end, a friend milled a slot I. The end of a length of O1 round that was a hair under the pump tube diameter. This slot fitted over the NRV and he put some flats for a spanner on the other end.
The idea was I could hear the end to aid undoing. In the end though, it unscrewed without the need for heat.
If it is a WD/MOD or cival defence item there will be a Ident stamp on the body, on the side.
If you find a stamp on the bottom it is a fake. The bottom was always engraved.
I only ever had one NRV valve defeat me.

So I cheated and had it done by an expert.
