Hi all,
A guy I sub for has offered me his lathe, mill and a vertical bandsaw for £2800.
The lathe I think is an earlier colchester student with very little tooling, it has 2 catchplates and I think 2 chucks. He wants £500 no vat.
The mill is a decent sized semco bridgeport copy with some tooling in r8 and a riser block. This is £1500+vat
The bandsaw is a startrite one, fairly big with the blade welder etc, set up for wood but we've cut bronze and brass on it no problem, I'd need to get a vfd to power that slow enough for steel as it hasn't got the low geared option some had. This is £500 again no vat.
Loading no problem as he's got a small tele handler and we've got a loader tractor.
I'll get some pics when I'm next there, but in general are these prices fair, I don't think there's much wiggle room on the mill as he wants what he paid back for it.
Cheers
