just showed the old boy a couple of doors down and he reckons its a general purpose rod for mild steel - talked about the colour green on the ends but also said he's been out of the game for 20 odd years and has forgot more than he can remember - he is circa 99yrs - but i wouldnt want to play him at poker!!!!
