That's probably it. I haven't used a modern stick set to live Tig. Done it off a few old ens and off dedicated Tig sets.Very few stick inverters out there without lift function these days.

On my Tetrix you can turn the HF off and use it as Lift Arc , touch the tungsten down on the work piece press the trigger and rock the tungsten away from the workpiece and away you go , not tried it and why would you when the HF works so well ?

It's simple to use but very much a box full of tricks. I really love it tbh. Seriously excellent kit.Hows the new machine going , it looks very simple ?
