Using the No Gas Flux Cored wire my welds were just a splattery hell

But this morning I got some gas and here are my first attempts

Not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but an incredible improvement.
Obviously with these I was playing around with power and wire feed, but any constructive criticism would be gladly received.

		 In the second photo the penetration looks good or too much, but the welds look narrow.  Maybe both power and travel speed are too high?   What thickness of metal is that in the second photo?
