Wet and dry papers

Can anyone please advise a quality wet and dry paper please.. Bought two batches on line for mild steel work etc and with both the grit almost washes off the paper..

As stated, 3M silicone carbide is the best, there are numerous abrasive grades available.

Yeah like the above 3M is good but there are others I have used which are just as good but can't remember the names off hand.

Never be tempted to buy the Halfords stuff - it's a enemy of water. I had to buy some in an emergency and never again. I tested it after against 3M and the 3M lasted ten times longer. I know that doesn't sound right but it really did.

Mirka, Klingspor? Cheaper than hellfrauds (not exactly difficult but then automotive paint shops etc ain't open untill 8pm/on Sundays) as well as eleventy million times better

3m is good but so is Klingspor & Mirka, to be honest I don't know anyone that sands wet these days.
