I think the limit is 20 cube a day before you need a licence

Personally I wouldn't be mentioning it to any authorities, if the well is already there and has been for 100s of years then just use it.
I was about to post that same thing too but wasn't sure I was right
for feeding a house, I'd have a borehole pump feed a tank (with level switch for pump on/off) , and then use a booster pump fead from the tank to feed the house
if you can put the tank up high then there should be enough pressure for watering the garden? (or maybe another pump for sprinklers etc.?)
a booster pump in feeding the house means you have nice steady pressure at the taps etc.
I use them at work (water regulations say I'm not allowed to use mains fed hose pipes etc. incase some meat magically gets sucked back down the hose pipe) - standard booster pumps are pretty good - inverter booster pumps are bloody awesome - speeding up and slowing down depending how many taps you have turned on etc.
(unless you can get the header tank high enough.... in which case just fill that and take feeds directly from it)
p.s. for your solar.... look into solar pv, prices have been dropping fast - generate electricity and then heat water electrically
advantage is, it'll still heat your water on freezing cold only sightly sunny days
you'll get free electric
paid to generate it
and there's plenty of devices available that monitor your electricity import/export and divert power to heaters instead of exporting it
Max reliable suction is 22ft or 7metres for a positive displacement pump. less for centrifugal, so not that far really. We have Mono pump on ours and they can suck from a long way down
This has just appeared on eBay, scam surly? still for a round of drinks could be worth a punt?
Joined eBay yesterday....no feedback/history.....based in Morocco...draw you're own conclusions.
I suppose they've priced it sufficiently low, on the basis of if they can catch a large number of punters then vanish?
but a borehole pump hardly mainstream to catch a lot of punters?
True, but loads of folk think "Ooooh, look - that's cheap, I'll have one just in case...". Something quite a few of us are familiar with.....
