Hello
I've tried to make a true and flat welding/jig for something I want to make. I currently don't have a flat surface to work from.
Anyway, what i've made has warped in the process and what i'm left with isn't true and flat. Pretty much unusable for what I need.
Youtube video to see what i'm trying to make
I've made it out of 40x40 box i think only 1.2mm and 6mm sheet.
Can anyone give me some advice on how to get a better result? What size box, thickness of sheet to use? What to use as a temporary flat surface to build my surface? Is there anywhere i can purchase a flat steel sheet? Probably most importantly, some welding tips to keep warping to a minimum.
Thanks for any help.. I really need it
