Hi. I've just bought an MMA welder.
I want to place a 2" long steel tube into the end of a scaffolding tube. My idea is to first drill two holes into the scaffolding tube opposite each other, slide in the steel tube, then weld where the drilled holes are. Thus locking in the steel inner tube to the scaffolding tube. No real force will be on the inner steel tube.
Okay, but scaffolding is some sort of aluminium alloy, it's not mild steel as the inner tube is.
Do I take any special measures when welding these two different metal parts together? Thanks. Rich
