Haven't used this account in ages but thought i'll post a thread showing the welding trolley for my Oxford oil imersed welder.
Made from two layers of 5mm plate steel (10mm total) and 50x50x5 (mm) angle iron, welded using the Oxford.
Last photo doesn't have the Oxford as the paint was wet.
Might add a handle to pull when I next have round bar.
The base section completed, testing the fit.
Picture of butt weld on base section
All the sections ready for welding.
Grinding corner welds for a flush fit
Mole gripping support in place ready for welding
Braced top support, ready for welding
Random test fit
Ready for cutting out top plates
Using the Oxford to hold the frame in place as I score along the edge with the grinder. (That was heavy)
First plate on and Oxford test fitted again...
Turning a table into a trolley, with wheels...
Drilled and tacked
Welded, should have chipped that last bit of slag off...
View of both casters
Welding on rear axle
All done.
