Evening,
I've just started learning to MIG weld, and my girlfriend noticed that when I'm using the welder in the workshop, she can hear the sound of welding coming from the consumer unit which is in the house. Literally the 'frying bacon' sound. It's only when I'm actually welding (i.e. I'm pulling the trigger). Not at any other time. Has anyone else experienced this?
The workshop is new and electrics were installed by a professional. I have a separate 16A socket for my old Clarke 130TE. There's no smoke or sparks or anything from the consumer unit. Just the sound mimicking what I'm actually doing in the workshop.
Thanks,
Jimmy.
