Hi, I'm new to this forum but I desperately need some advice.
I can weld quite well on flat or vertical situations but I'm having problems welding underneath my Classic Range Rover.
Are there any tips to stop me getting large blobs of weld dropping on to me? I've tried altering the power settings and the wire speed but I don't really know what I'm doing, as I just grope at the controls with my free hand while lying underneath my Rangie.
My welder has 4 power settings. I usually use setting 2 for 18g (1.2mm) sheet with the wire speed about 1/2 way round the dial. This works fine in horizontal use but not welding from underneath. Where am I going wrong please?
Great forum, by the way. Found it by accident but now it's in my favourites.
Cheers, Bob
