Welding my van

Hi all, is their anyone in the Newcasle area able to help me out. My Transit van failed its MOT. as it needs some welding, its 4 holes under the chassie one hole in each corner. Under the two front doors and near the rear arches.
The holes range from about 3"x1" to 6"x3" Thats just approx. Its just so i can MOT the van & sell it. I have a company van now so i dont need it.
If their is anyone in the area who could do this type of job please pm me.

you may get a better responce if you list what needs doing, more often then not a small hole found at the mot becomes a good bit bigger.

common rot ares of a transit are both back corners, steps, front crossmember, rear wheel arch to floor. the back corners tend to spread quite a bit

yes its both back corners/arch and front under sills near front arches.

You've been on here a while now and should have had plenty of practice so why aren't you doing it yourself?

last tranny I did had a 10mm long hole in and described as a little hole, ended up over a foot long before I had any good metal... Learned a lot on that job about transits

Sorry Lostboy, I think the terms 'Transit', 'welding' and 'small job' have scared people off.

i use the 6 to one rule on welding vehicles and it works spot on for every inch u see theres 6 inch to weld

If anybody asks me to do a 'small' welding job on a vehicle I punch them and run away.
Well these days I explain that I am not licenced to work on vehicles.
These kind of jobs are always a massive PITA.

That's because nobody on here wants the job!!
Anyone who knows transits knows that it won't be a small job, no way no how.
If you want it done quickly then take it to a garage and pay them to do it.

How will i earn the money

nothing personal i will spell it out.anyone who takes the job on will earn what they make , its a figure of speech, in other words its a lousy job and not worth doing . theres easyer ways of earning a crust
