Thanks ChrisJohns - I did buy a bib/brace (stupid word for dungarees) from UKwelder, but it was too small & now they don't supply them any more... Ugh - honestly, I've been looking for decent leather clothes for ages. Tried a Tusker bib/brace too - not as good as those Weldas ones. Got in touch with the Weldas guys in Holland(?) to find a supplier. Getting there slowly, but everyone has to special-order them and the sizes are weird, so either I buy a bunch and send some back or I don't bother. Loooong story...

Still doesn't solve the jacket prob...!

I prefer to use THESE, light, heat resistant too, I prefer to tig in a T shirt so these are ideal, and you can buy them in the uk too.

I get to the point (or have done - not every day) where I'm pouring bottles of water down the arm of my overalls to cool it down enough that its not burning me.

What are you working with which generates so much heat?
