Welding Gaunlets?

Hi. I know this sounds a bit strange asking about what welding gloves to buy but I've bought a few different pairs over the years and none of them have much "feel" about them. What I'm looking for is to be able to feel the trigger on my welder rather than having this hard glove that is so hard it almost could be a splint! Any ideas on a maker? Thanks.

I quite often use a tig glove on the trigger hand and a gauntlet on the other.

At the moment I'm using "Tegera 134" gloves and they seem to be ok.

Yes but not so well insulated so if you're welding high amperage your hands may get a bit warm.

I use Tegera TIG gloves for MIG, they have a decent feel and a fair bit of heat protection, but like said, not as much as MIG gauntlets.

Was using TIG gloves plasma cutting plate, got that boiling frog syndrome until finally when it really bloody hurt

When I remember to put some on , for MIG welding I use TIG gloves for anything in the sort of 0.8-4mm range and then move to MIG gloves for the larger stuff, I also tend to use MIG gloves for stick welding instead of the heavier stick welding ones, i often use the stick gloves as a rest between the hot steel and my other gloves.

Iam the other way round I can mig weld 20mm in tig gloves but once I get to 4mm rods I reach for gauntlets otherwise the rod stubs get longer and longer.

And a heat pad on the non torch hand, over the fingers. Works well.

Thanks to all for these magic tips on this subject. This all started when I changed the torch assembly and the trigger on this latest torch is inside a contour along the handle part and I've been forever squeezing what I thought was the trigger!

Spiderhand mig gloves are pretty good, still not as nice to wear as Tegera tig gloves (which are my favourite gloves) but they are designed for a lot more heat.
Not cheap though.
