hiya all.
just a question about welding rods. was practicing welding today and used up the last few old sticks my dad gave me. (probably 10+ years old). when i had used up them all i moved onto some new sticks i bought the other day. they were some cheap ones from P.E.T hire for 25p a stick. i noticed that i could strike an arc without the rod sticking nearly everytime and my end weld was better with the new rods so i was wondering if there is a diferance between cheap & expensive rods that is worth paying for? any recomendations for welding rods. also how many rods would there be in a 5kg pack (aprox. for 2.5 and 3.2mm 6013 rods please)
