I am interested in learning welding to hopefully build up a craft type business as a second income, However as a lot of people have said on here there is a shortage of courses. The best I could come up with was as a one day course at Easton College nr Norwich. I know you cant learn it all in a day but on the advise of a lot of posts on here about practice, I thought get a taste and go a way and teach myself.
The course is very informal and on my day was lucky to be short of attendees so got extra time on the welding. The instruction will not be to everyone's taste its a bit like nipping round to your dad's shed for advice. I did some prep by reading "Welding for Dummies" and Farm and Workshop welding by Andrew Pearce was an excellent read and both of these sources definitely helped on the day. We did stick and Mig on the day. This is the link to interested parties..https://www.eastonotley.ac.uk/cours...eering/short/welding-beginners-and-improvers/ .
Cant wait to get some equipment now, whilst stick is fiddly I think that will be more interesting and more cost effective to me. Sorry to waffle but I hope this info will help.
