Hello, can anyone give me some advice on if its possible to weld copper beads onto copper pipe and also the quickest/easiest way to achieve it?
The pipes will vary from 100mm to 22mm. I need to completely cover the pipes in weld to achieve a 'bark' effect as they will be used as part of a copper tree water feature.
I have very little experience welding but do actually own a small stick welder which i have used to blob together various bits in my workshop. So please go easy on me if I ask silly questions. I was wondering if it was possible to use a mig welder with copper wire? Or maybe you can get copper stick rods? Both materials are the same so should stick together. Problems I foresee are the wall thickness of the tube which is only 1mm or 2mm at best on the larger pipe.
Thanks in advance if you can help.
Cheers
Lee
