Hi Guys
Hope you can help me, i am a gas engineer not a welder and i am not sure i am even in the right part of the forum but please bear with me and help if you can. I have a job where i need some leaking gas pipe cutting out and replacing with welded joints on 6" pipe. I have approached coded welders who are giving me conflicting information. The rest of the gas installation is about 40 years old and the fittings are screwed, i know that the new stuff should be welded but some are saying any welded joints need to have a xray others are saying they don't because i am a qualified gas engineer who can do a tightness test and certificate, don't worry i am also qualified for purging as well. Can anyone shed some light.
Thanks
