I need to mount some non-standard brake calipers to a hub, making up an adaptor plate isnt feasable so my plan is to cut the tabs off the hub and relocate them, problem is the hub is made from cast steel.. I've had a little google session and many say welding cast steel is acceptable but what are peoples 'professional' opnion on welding something critical like a brake caliper mount.
Cheers for any help or advice
