After finishing my cart I decided it needed somewhere to hang the leads, so I used some 1.6 mm flat I had laying around and cut a couple of semi circles and bent some into a matching curve as can be seen by the photo. I cleaned them up with a flappy and gave them a coat of clear to match the handles.
I practised the weld on some scrap and it was full of holes ! And then I realised that because I went inside earlier I had turned off the gas for safety sakes. Silly me !
When I did weld them onto the main frame I had some trouble because I was welding 1.6 mm to 3 mm. I tried to concentrate the weld mainly on the 3mm and just slip it onto the thinner material a bit using the settings for 3mm. Luckily the welds are not seen and aren't exactly structural.
