HiAll
Just been playing with a pin holeon my land rover (cleaned properly) fuel tank.
Eventually brazed it up and stopped leak. Did test and a few other pinholes/ weeping going on behind protector plate. Took bull by horna and cut plate off planning to mig it back.... Why not?
Problem was spot weld x4 , managed to driull through 2 to fuel tank!!! so have proper leaks now.
Need a good easy answer 'PLEASE' to fix. Thinking of sand blasting thin pinholes etc. Would it be better to mig the holes or plate with brass / braze?
I could as suggested on an earlier post run solder on the pin holes?
My recent attempt at migging a Land Rover air cleaner hole were a real disaster with miggy pin holes in the weld giving me much grief.
I have another tank with a 6" square patch needed. Would that be miggable or stick to brazing? (Tanks are £100 by the way.)
