Just looking at Thursday's offers in Lidl. There is a Fire Blanket (1m sq) for £7.99 can withstand temps of up to 1250 deg c.

Just wondering if this would be suitable as a welding blanket (not a welding screen), as I have seen some welding blankets for silly money.
Thinking of using it to protect from spatter, grinding sparks etc
Any idea's?
PS Not sure if Lidl is just a northern thing or if its country wide?
