Hi everybody, i have been trying to weld aluminium for a while now, and was wondering if there was any chance you could help me with this subject please
i have read previous posts regarding this subjec and have swapped over to larger tip and teflon wire and has made a huge difference but the torch keeps building up a white layer of dust like powder and the weld itself turns black and spotty, and i have to either wash it or wire brush to get it cleanish. does this happen when your welding? or am i doing something wrong?
i am using a clarke 230 turbo mig with 8.0mm alloy wire, and a small bottle of argon gas
Thanks
Gary
