don't forget the aerial too , as that goes to earth if incorrect you have put a direct short across the battery via the aerial socket , so you may need to isolate the aerial mounting from the chassis , i made a nylon bush to go under the metal clamp and through the bodywork so even if the aerial moved slightly with wind it could not touch .
just a thought , but it does depend on the radio & aerial configuration

I must be lucky, the radio in my P4 has a Blaupunkt radio from the 1960's, when I bought the car I got loads of paper work and amongst this lot I've found the manual for the radio and it's got a polarity conversion so I can use it for pos or neg earth.
This is just a matter of turning a switch to neg and it's done.
I'll have a look at the aerial though, well spotted I'd have missed that.
