A bolt snapped off in my brake caliper but there's still some sticking out. I want to weld a nut on the end then use that to try to get it out. Will it be strong enough? Is there a certain way of doing it?
I have wheel nut that fits over it with a bit of space round the edges, couple of mm either side. I was thinking of setting the power to max and using a high wire speed so it doesn't melt away before it gets there. Does that sound good? Should I fill up the nut in one go or do little spots and build them up?
Any advice appreciated.
