I have a Clark 160, a baby AC welder. It claims to deliver 48V and a current of up to 150A. I think that the practical max current is 115A.
It was supplied with a 13A fused plug.
Now, my rough understanding says that a 13A fuse for 240V means a max wattage of 3120W.
48V at 115A would be 5520W.
So does this mean that the maximum current my welder can deliver at 48v would be 65A?
So the voltage at 115A would be only 27V?
