I hope I didn't come across too harsh

I just wouldn't wish what happened to me happen to anyone else...

I was out of work for six months from a week before christmas last year when I got made redundant for the second/third time...

750 job applications later and only one interview to which I got turned down, then asked back a month later as the guy they offered the job to never got back to them...

Sadly it happened recently again with that job, but in hindsight at least I got offered a temporary contract to cover for maternity on minimum wage...


I'm still looking now, almost every day in the hope of getting a more secure position before this one goes...



They've done a very similar thing to what's happened at your place, a new manager was brought in to radically sort the place out, although to be fair with her having over 20 years experience in the industry from installations, to manufacturing, to management and ownership, she knows exactly how the system works...

Needless to say things are improving at a phenomenal rate, I'm just not holding my breath

once had a final written warning for welding 600 parts correctly
plant manager even commented they were the best he had seen
but we had wired a pointless clamp back to make the job easy to build correctly
i fekin hate company politics when some tosspot's incharge that knows fekall

In answer to ytre, sorry- i should have explained myself better- no he just basically didn't answer the question!
The thing that slightly annoys me is that the covers get to us with large burrs on due to the blades on the guillotine being blunt (which are due to be fixed soon, apparently) so we are asked to grind them so you can run your finger over them, now i have always used a 'flap' disk on my grinder to do this as it leaves a lovely finish but now we are not allowed to use them and are told to use grinding disks which i find bloody hard to grind the burr off to a level where you can run your finger over it! I have a few flap disks left that i had very squirrel-like saved up in my cabinet so they'll keep me going for a while but i think i may just buy some ones of my own just so i wont be on the 'dreaded' form!

Don't ever buy your own flap wheels .. if anything goes wrong guess who will be hung out to dry.
