Welder wanted

Hi folks first time here. Looking to build some safety rails out of 5 mm thick box steal. So I am looking for a cheap 150 amp gas or gas less welder.

I am only after something cheap as this is probably the only job I will use it for.

Can anyone please point me in the right direction.

What's your budget and are you looking for new or used?

Can you weld?

as by the time it takes to buy a mig and all the bits to go with it it will probably work out cheaper to get some one in to do a one off job

If you can cut the steel to the size you need, it would cost less to have someone weld it up fot you. I could if I was nearer Worcester and I know someone else that way who could as well and there must be others. 5mm is going to need a decent sized welder.

Dont be fooled, you buy a welder it will never be the only thing you ever weld, you will be searching out bits of steel to stick together for years to come...
