G'day,
Long time lurker here... been reading the threads and advice in anticipation of buying a welder to do some restoration on a old car or two, so mainly light bodywork.
Would this be a suitable beginner's machine:
http://www.welduk.com/Details.asp?ProductID=353
I wonder is the 35 amp minimum not low enough for light panelwork?
I see recommendations for the Clarke 135 and similar. However, although the plan is to do mainly bodywork I know I will inevitably want to weld heavier stuff - gates, trailer repair, etc... and the extra power of the Sealey might do a better job?
Any advice appreciated,
Sean
