welder repairing

hi all.
i was wondering if any one could help me. i recently started doing part time work repairing welders but was wondering does anybody know any good sites about repairing welders. anything would do from schematics to wiring diagrams to explaination or troubleshooting. thanks again

You started a business without this info?! I would say at a guess anyone with a basic grasp of electrical fundimentals would be able to trouble shoot the electrical side, the rest is down to being able to source parts at competivetive prices.

Working on mains powered stuff I guess you have to be qualified to certify your work these days?

If I was paying someone to repair my welder I would expect them to do the troubleshooting! The day I have to consult the internet for 'clues' I'll pack it in I think!

i think people are taking me up wrong. i'm fully qualified electrician but am looking for sites for wiring diagrams for welders. i went on to the esab website and found that helpfull but am looking for stuff for murex and kama gear. any one got any ideas

Trying to read between the lines, I think norris could pick up the welder repairs in a company he already works for, he is only interested in 3 manufacturers gear. I'm all for people getting on in life, but not all faults are to do with the plant. Are you going to take up servicing the welding industry proffesionaly and learn about the processes or just take the "cream"?. If that is the case I'm not too imprested, there are a lot of people out there that have spent many years learning and continue to do so!!!!!

Welder repairs norris we all had to start somewhere,try to obtain a broken set it is not always possible to get circuit diagrams for all sets,eye ball mark 1first then input and output voltages .best of luck
