welder or wire problem?

Welder going off to be looked at next week, seems to be a power problem?? and because Butters are no more, i'll have to pay, it did have 7 years warranty. will let you know the outcome.

7 year warranty wasn't worth the paper it was written on.
I believe for it to be valid the machine had to be serviced annually by a Butters agent.

If there is a tension/resistance screw in the middle of the wire reel holder which prevents reel over-run, it's not set too tight is it?

and make sure you have enough tension on the wire feeder
double check all connections

Hi, have phoned the people who are looking at my welder, and they can find nothing wrong with it at all, so, could it be the metal on my car? its a 37 year old American Firebird, could metal be contaminated or something like that?

its not a power problem its a wire feed problem when it arks and there is a blob on the end is the wire moving

wire moving fine, i was hoping they would find a fault

i think theres something like that, even though its grinded back, as said, sometimes it will weld fine. Will pick it up tomorrow and try again
