I had to swap out a failed hire machine in a customers shop on Friday. The girl that uses it is mad as a brush and has named the machine Catherine.
I was solemnly escorted into the welding bay and given the sad news of my machines time of death and confronted with this...

The proceeded to hug its replacement and started to come up with new names.
Something suitable for a machine starting with E.

I think welders spend too much time alone breathing fumes.

I think Argon has effects that science isn't aware of, especially when you start looking at peoples welds and thinking damn thats nice, then proceed to look at hundreds of other welds on instagram. Argon Addicts Anonymous is the hash tag haha.

It's a Merc. Reg letters are KNB. Haven't thought of a name yet.

Well Knob would certainly suit most of the people who drive them... and Audis... BMWs... VWs... and it's also affecting Skoda drivers now. Must be German car disease. I'm amazed there aren't more recalls for faulty indicators...

Not to add fuel to another forum debate but I owned a BMtroubleU for two years and managed to remember where my indicators were and exactly what their purpose was (confusing the enemy) for the duration of my ownership.

There are 3 servers that run the control system on the Beryl Alpha oil platform called Penny, Dianne and Anne (Penny is one of our engineers, Dianne and Anne were/are admin).

Must be a different department that does bmw bike indicators, mine work fine.

You must agree though that BMW bike indicators take some getting used to? Most irritating "feature" is the 15 second timeout, a right pain coming off a motorway.

Our team use to do major overhauls on 3 Massive Neuvo Pignone compressors,Horizontal flat 4, crankcase was bigger than the average front room they worked at well over 10,000 psi, Each one was named after the plant engineers 3 daughters, Anna,Elizabeth and Ariadne We also had a shop bike (with a carrier on the front) her name was Rosie
